This is just to let you know that you probably won't hear a lot from me over the next week or so. This is because I'm in the process of moving home. It's odd, I've been saying this all year, that I felt November Eve would be a big transition for me, with major changes in my life, and the closer I get to it, the more my life seems to be up in the air. It happens to be that my birthday is in early November, so this time of year is always a transition from one year to the next for me. It's at times like this that I think of our dark lord.
Charge of the God, by Janet and Stewart Farrar
Listen to the words of the Great Father,
Who of old was called Osiris, Adonis, Zeus, Thor, Pan, Cernunnos, Herne, Lugh,
and by many other names:
My Law is Harmony with all things.
Mine is the secret that opens the gates of life
and mine is the dish of salt of the Earth
that is the body of Cernunnos, the eternal circle of rebirth.
I give the knowledge of life everlasting,
and beyond death I give the promise of regeneration and renewal.
I am the Sacrifice,
the Father of all things,
and my protection blankets the Earth.
Hear the words of the dancing God,
the music of whose laughter stirs the winds,
whose voice calls the seasons:
I am the Lord of the Hunt and the Power of the Light,
Sun among the clouds and the secret flame
I call upon your bodies to arise and come unto me
For I am the flesh of the Earth and all its beings.
Through me all things must die and with me are reborn.
Let my worship be in the body that sings,
for behold all acts of willing sacrifice are my rituals.
Let there be desire and fear, anger and weakness,
joy and peace, awe and longing within you.
For these too are part of the mysteries found within yourself,
within me, all beginnings have endings,
That was beautiful, Annika. Last night, I did some research on Aradia for the first time, including the youtube video you made about her. This morning, I was walking accross the street to the convenient store and while waiting for the light to turn I gazed over and there was a dead 4 foot long skinny snake with stripes. I did not know we had those here. I have never seen one. This was was literally almost right under my feet. I love it when we get the obvious signs that we are being heard.
